To start, these are not pocket diapers. Oh no, these are hybrid covers. What does that mean? It means that we have left out the AWJ interior that makes our pocket diapers a pocket diaper. Rather, you have a beautiful, moisture-resistant look without all of the excess work of "stuffing" the diapers. It isn't a secret that newborn babies are adorable, and it's also no secret that they potty- a lot. That's why we have chosen to go with a cover rather than a pocket. Covers allow you to efficiently replace only the absorbency inside and leave the cover undisturbed. Meaning, that with enough absorbency, these covers can be used several times over. They are extremely efficient and extremely easy, making your already hard job as a newborn parent a little bit easier. 

Staying Dry

Our newborn diapers feature a PUL water-resistant outer layer, meaning leakage through the exterior fabric is an extremely low risk. Paired with one of our newborn inserts or a stretchy preflat, these hybrid covers are an incredible solution for your itty bitty little ones.

Additionally, we have a tummy and booty panel on these newborn covers, allowing you to tuck the insert in to help avoid those pesky leaks.

Umbilical Cords

If you decide to start cloth diapering from birth, our diapers have been carefully designed to gently fit around your little one's umbilical cord, allowing it to heal undisturbed. 

Versatile

There are multiple snaps throughout the diaper that makes sizing it up for your specific little one a breeze. Rise snaps to adjust the length, hip snaps adjust the waist and legs, and cross snaps allow for an extra small fit for those really itty bitty little ones! This makes our newborns very versatile.

Additionally, the beauty of a "cover" is that you can use whatever absorbency product you'd like for touching your baby's skin. If you choose Stout House Newborn Inserts or pre-flats, they are made of a bamboo/cotton mixture (and they are SO soft, just sayin').

Inverted Insert Snap

There is, and we cannot emphasize this enough, nothing worse than a diaper leak. It's messy. That is one reason why we've designed our newborn covers with an inverted snap that attaches perfectly with our newborn inserts, making sure that insert can't slide around while it's on your baby. Making Mother Nature Smile

Our diapers are lab-tested to meet all of the CPSIA compliance requirements. This means our diapers are free from harmful chemicals and metals, giving you peace of mind with what is touching your little one’s skin. 

Wash and Care Recommendations

Our diapers are 100% machine wash safe. Our general advice is to knock solids into the toilet, pre-wash cold, wash hot with detergent, double rinse, tumble dry on low or hang them out on the line. It’s also not recommended to use bleach, certain rash creams (our all-natural Baby Balm is safe), or fabric softener.
